Cornetto Iconography
What follows is a quite random collection of images depicting cornetti or near-cornetti (pre-cornetti, animal horns with and without finger holes, etc.). I am aware that it would be useful to organize these images into a searchable database and to impose some sort of order on them. What follows here is simply a first step: to gather in one place all of the images I have collected with basic information about their location, artist and date, where known. We are at work on a new version with better captioning, a better thumbnail display, and search capability. For now, enjoy the images. I enthusiastically invite comments, corrections and additional images. I would like to see this become a principal repository of images for our entire cornetto community.
